Revealing Deception in Politics, Business, Media and Orthodoxy.
Clear Deception was founded in the spring of 2013 as a counter-point to the dysfunction of political and social discourse in the United States. The time was ripe for a non-partisan, non-institutional and non-corporate/government view of the issues with which we grapple so unsuccessfully
There are many great resources for uncovering the truths that can lead us to resolutions, yet even those are generally presented through the filters of need for profit, publicity or pretense. Essays written for Clear Deception strive to avoid partisanship, labels, conventional wisdom, our need to earn a living and our own emotional responses to the damage inflicted by those who practice deception.
Clear Deception is written in "long-form", an approach which has historically been utilized for debate and thoughtful discourse but which does not lend itself readily to the needs or desires of those who seek information in today's digitally driven society. Much damage is inflicted by the brevity found in media sound bites and the truncated messages served up by Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, SnapChat and other "in the moment" forms of communication. While these all serve a role and have their benefits, they do not foster a full airing or debate on the issues that so dramatically affect our daily lives. They are valuable tools for communication but do not often serve well the evolution of understanding.

The Mission of Clear Deception
"Deception clouds the lens through which we view our world and distorts conversation that would otherwise ring clear. It inhibits and prevents our positive resolution of issues.
"Deception is purposeful, of course, when it serves the selfish interests of those who seek to deceive. It is also destructive, often mortally so, to our lives. Yet deception is often not even recognized by its perpetrators, so beholden are they to the orthodoxies that govern their lives.
"Whether foisted upon the public by corporations, media, government, religions, organizations or politicians, this site identifies and explains deception in our civic discourse and proposes resolutions.
"In this spirit Clear Deception avoids the use of idealogical and party labels, focusing instead on core principals of human and constitutional rights, identifying deception practiced in all quarters and offering solutions independent of institutional and organizational thought."
